Rajasthan Tour Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival at Delhi/Mumbai/Udaipur
You will arrive at Delhi or Mumbai and will board the flight to Udaipur from there. You will be given a warm traditional welcome at Udaipur and from there you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02 Udaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing of this regal city is in store for you. The highlights of the first half of the trip are rich collection of magnificent City Palace Museum, majestic Jagdish Temple and an elegant garden called Sahelion-Ki-Bari. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, either in shopping or roaming about in the colorful bazaars of the city or to rest cozily in your room and refresh yourself for the latter half of the trip. Cruise through the placid waters of Lake Pichola at sunset and visit the Jag Mandir Palace. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03 Udaipur/Mount Abu
Proceed to Mount Abu, the only hill station of Rajasthan, which is also an important Jain pilgrimage center in India. Check in the hotel and enjoy a sumptuous lunch. After meals, visit the famous 11th century Dilwara Jain temple complex. Enjoy a cruise through Nakki Lake at sunset, starting from the Sunset Point. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 Mount Abu/Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur after an early breakfast. Check in and lunch at the hotel. Go on an excursion to Mandore gardens, which was once the capital of princely state of Marwar. The highlights here are the royal cenotaphs and the hall of local war heroes here along with the exotic spice market. Drive back to Jodhpur in the evening and see the gorgeous Umaid Bhawan Palace, which still serves as the residence of the royal family of Jodhpur in part. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05 Jodhpur/Jaisalmer
Early morning drive to Jaisalmer, where you will freshen up at the hotel and gp for sightseeing. The highlights of the city are stunning Jain temples inside the Sonar Quila, the palace museum inside this fort exhibiting a rich collection of imperial dresses and artifacts belonging to the royal family of Jaisalmer, Havelis with convoluted designs and latticed windows such as Patwaon-ki-haveli and the Gadisar Lake, which seems beautiful at sunset. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 Jaisalmer
In the morning, visit the Khuri village and enjoy the camel cart ride to the Sunset Point and Sam sand dunes. Take the camel safari and explore the true life and delights of the desert. Immerse in the spirit of Rajasthan all through the night by staying in the mud-huts, meeting warm rustic people of Rajasthan and have a touch of their culture with their haunting music, folk dance and singing performances and other cultural programs.
Day 07 Jaisalmer/Mandawa
After breakfast, proceed towards Mandawa and enjoy some leisure time in the hotel. Then, you will be taken on a guided tour to small village of Shekhawati, which was once an important caravansary. Here, you can see the Havelis belonging to 18th and 19th century of the rich and the famous merchants, meet warm, friendly, rustic and dark-skinned desert people and see the paintings of their holy deities. Dinner and overnight stay at Mandawa.
Day 08 Mandawa/Mumbai/Delhi
After breakfast, departure to Mumbai or Delhi, where you can spend the day at leisure. You can also do shopping or indulge in recreational activities until it is time for you to catch your flight for next destination.
